XEO Housing Authority Enhances Community Safety and Engagement Efforts
The XEO Housing Authority (XEO) has announced a new initiative aimed at strengthening community safety while fostering greater resident engagement across its housing communities.
The initiative introduces a combination of safety-focused programs and community-building events designed to create a more secure and connected living environment. Efforts include increased collaboration with local law enforcement, improved lighting in common areas, and the rollout of neighborhood watch programs led by residents.
“Safety and community go hand in hand,” said XEO Housing Director Sydney Orange. “When residents feel secure and connected, it creates a stronger, more supportive environment for everyone.”
In addition to safety improvements, XEO is organizing regular community events such as town hall meetings, family activities, and resident-led workshops. These gatherings aim to encourage open communication, build trust among neighbors, and give residents a voice in shaping their communities.
The housing authority is also investing in youth engagement by introducing after-school programs and mentorship opportunities. Officials say these efforts are intended to provide positive outlets for young residents while strengthening ties between families and community leaders.
Residents have welcomed the initiative, noting that increased visibility and involvement help foster a sense of belonging. “It’s not just about feeling safe—it’s about knowing your neighbors and being part of something,” one resident shared.
XEO Housing Authority plans to continue evaluating and expanding these efforts based on resident feedback, ensuring that safety and engagement remain top priorities.
